Divided into seven geographical areas, the BTP comprises over 4,000 staff covering 10,000 miles of track, more than 3,000 railway stations and depots. The ISM solution for the integrated Spatial database combined with a sub-second nationwide name and address search capability consists of nearly eight terabytes of base mapping, aerial imagery together with over 100 million names and addresses. This solution helps the British Transport Police (BTP) with all their various enquiries.

Swindon is a large town in Wiltshire in the south west of England, with a population around 184,000. The town is famous for the Great Western Railway works. Swindon is the fastest growing town in the United Kingdom with major housing projects in the surrounding countryside.

Safety on the streets is a key requirement for the citizens of Swindon and ISM has been chosen as the key integrating technology to link the call centres and citizen portals to all the information needed to enable Swindon Council to keep the streets clean and safe.

The ancient county of Monmouthshire was formed from the Welsh Marches by the Laws in Wales Act 1535 and is located in the south east corner of Wales with a population of nearly 90,000 in an area of 850km2.

Data management, quality and sharing were major concerns and ISM was selected to be the corporate spatial data warehouse to provide controlled access to the cleansed data.

The District of North East Derbyshire lies on the edge of the Peak District National Park, where the foothills of the Pennines meet the Midland plain. Covering 100 square miles, and with some of the most beautiful scenery in the Country, the District is home for almost 100,000 people.

Orange Switzerland has adopted Oracle Spatial in order to store all of its geographic datasets. Providing access and control over the data stored within Oracle is Spatial Technology's ISM (Independent Spatial Management). ISM enables complete central control of Orange Switzerland's maps, layers and information for all its users, regardless of the level of sophistication required or software used.

Allma is a consortium of several forest companies in Norway ALLskog, Mjösen and AT-plan. The object for this cooperation is to jointly develop strategic forest solutions covering the whole supply chain from planting through to timber distribution. The Allma partners are built up by about 20,000 private forest owners with an annual timber cutting of around 2,7 million m3 - which is about 1/3 of the total timber cutting in Norway. ISM plays the central role for data storage, analysis and processing and the solution covers field work to desktop GIS data collection and maintenance, advanced Oracle Spatial topology, business management and Web GIS deployment.

The city of Uppsala is Sweden's fourth largest municipality. Perhaps best known for its 15th century university, the city also offers visitors beautiful surroundings, a lively cultural scene and a rapidly expanding business sector. Uppsala is located 70 kilometres north of Stockholm with a population of about 185,000. ISM forms a organization wide spatial data warehouse managing both data quality and access control. The users are using integrated applications with GIS/CAD and Web-GIS.

Göteborg, Sweden's second largest city, has a population of almost half a million. Göteborg (a.k.a. Gothenburg) is located on the west cost of Sweden and is the largest port in Scandinavia. The City of Gothenburg has built up an extensive Spatial data warehouse with ISM to share all data among any user in the organisation. ISM enables the integration of various GIS/CAD and Web-GIS platforms together with the integration of many organisationally mission critical systems.

Trollhättan is the city of waterfalls and locks. It took many centuries to master the thundering falls of Göta River. When the first section, The Trollhätte Canal, was opened at the dawn of the 19th century, it was considered the eight wonder of the world. Taming the river brought hydropower to industry - many regard Trollhättan as the birthplace of modern Swedish industry. Trollhättan using ISM has built up an extensive use of Spatial information covering many different areas and enabling the efficient integration of legacy systems that was not possible prior to the introduction of ISM.

Huddinge is a modern city municipality with over 90,000 inhabitants, a multicultural, dynamic and expanding area of south Stockholm. ISM/Oracle is used as the main solution throughout the whole municipality covering any task performed by the employees. The GIS/CAD systems in use comes from Cadcorp, MapInfo and Autodesk and both public and intranet WEB-GIS is used for broad web deployment.

The Swedish Board of Fisheries is the government authority responsible for the conservation and exploitation of Sweden's fish resources. The Fiskeriverket head office is located in Gothenburg and has an extensive number of local offices throughout the country. All users and facilities are networked with ISM/Oracle to build up a centralised mission critical spatial database with ISM to share and to process all data to be used in the organisation. ESRI ArcGIS and MapInfo GIS clients together with Web-GIS are used for data collection, documentation, analysis and decision making.

The LFV Group is responsible for the operation and development of State-owned civil aviation airports. The Group is also responsible for peacetime air navigation services for civilian and military aviation. The LFV Group is a state enterprise employing over 4,000 people with an annual revenue of approx. SEK 6 Billion. ISM is used in developing new air safety solutions together with other projects under Eurocontrol (www.eurocontrol.net)

Combitech offers technical services and solutions for industry, total defense, government offices and authorities – anywhere where there are high demands on function and reliability. Combitech is using ISM to store, manage and use spatial information in the organisation as well to supply data to their advanced solutions both to the military and civilian the customer base.

Bjerking AB is one of the Swedish leading architectural and engineering companies with business in many infrastructure areas through out the country. ISM is used for all projects and documentation including the delivery of hosted applications to their on-line customers.

Fortum is a leading energy company in the Nordic countries and other parts of the Baltic Rim. The activities cover the generation, distribution and sale of electricity and heat, as well as the operation and maintenance of power plants. ISM is used to store, manage and distribute spatial and electrical information for the entire field work force in Sweden and Finland.

Göteborg Water is the utility responsible for the operation under the supervision of the Political Board of Göteborg Water. Göteborg Water supplies drinking water and takes care of the sewage to protect the environment. The water network is around 2,500 km and ISM is used as the central information hub to store, share, process and distribute information covering any part of the organisations needs.

Malmö is the commercial centre of southern Sweden. Malmö has 270,000 residents and covers a land area of approximately 156 km2, The organisation Gatukontoret is responsible for urban environment, traffic and infrastructure including management and maintenance of avenues, streets and parks. ISM forms the central solution to create a organisation wide solution with a variety of GIS/CAD and Web GIS platforms.

Norrvatten is a municipal council owned by 13 different urban municipalities in the northeast sector of Stockholm. Norrvatten's task is to produce and distribute drinking water of the highest quality and ensure that the water reaches the customer in a secure and efficient manner at the lowest possible cost. During 2003 Norrvatten delivered approximately 45 million cubic metres of water. Norrvatten's is also the highest authoritative organ, the federation's council, determines the price of the water every year payable to the municipal alliance upon delivery from the federation's pipelines.

ISM is the central system for the integration and management of both spatial and non-spatial information into a uniform and easy to use solution.

Norrköping boasts a fine geographical location for both people and companies accentuated by an efficient transport hub featuring the railway, a net of highways, the airport and the second largest port, measured by the value of the cargo handled. The community has a population of about 125,000 in a land area of 1,491 Km2. The community has built up an extensive use of spatial information all stored in ISM providing a shared data environment and application integration together with easy to use tools within Microstation, MapInfo, Topocad and Web-GIS platforms.

Nyköping is situated on the coast, one hour's drive south of Stockholm. The local government has about 50,000 inhabitants and covers about 1,427 Km2. The ISM solution forms the main system and data warehouse which also is used by other nearby and interlinked communities.

Göteborg Energi is the western Sweden's leading energy company providing customers with energy services, broadband, district heating, cooling, natural gas and the electricity supply network. The company has about 1,100 employees, 300,000 customers and a turnover of SEK 3,567 Million. ISM provides a huge spatialised data warehouse solution together with network specific applications all based upon Oracle.

Sollentuna goes back to the Viking era, when the waterways used by the Vikings met in the area close to Edsviken. Sollentuna has great natural beauty, as well as services, retail and businesses. Sollentuna is ranked as one of the best enterprise-friendly municipalities in Sweden. ISM is used to create a organisational wide enterprise solution integrating many different GIS, CAD and mission critical applications into a uniform environment.

The Sundsvall region has a population of 200,000 and is the biggest labour market in Northern Sweden. Sundsvall is also the principal retail and service centre in Northern Sweden and has wide variety of established sectors of local businesses and leading multinational companies. ISM is used to form a shared data environment with application integration together with easy to use tools within various GIS and Web GIS platforms.

The Göteborg real estate company founded in 1945 has about 270 employees and manages about 22,500 apartments with about SEK 1,290 Million rental income (2007). With the aim of offering good service and creating a market leading company with competitive rental fees and an effective organisation. Using ISM target system has been developed based on Oracle and Web GIS.

Lidköping is situated in west Sweden, south of lake Vänern, between Läckö Castle and Kinnekulle mountain. Lidköping town is known for its many cafes and the busy markets. A prototype system has been developed with ISM and is based on Oracle and Web GIS.

Syddjurs municipality is a municipality in Region Midtjylland in Denmark just north of Aarhus and is a part of the Aarhus area. It covers an area of 693 km² and a total population of just over 40,000 people. Oracle and ISM is used as the main Spatial data warehouse with various CAD/GIS clients.

Skive municipality is a municipality in Region Midtjylland at the base of Salling Peninsula, a part of the larger Jutland peninsula in northwest Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 682 km², and has a total population of about 50,000 people. ISM/Oracle forms the municipality's Spatial data Warehouse.

Brönderslev is a Danish municipality in Nothern Jutland with 35,000 residents and 633 km². ISM is used to create an enterprise wide solution integrating different GIS, CAD and Web applications into a uniform environment.

Hjörring is a town and a municipality in Region Nordjylland at the top of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 929 km², making it the largest in Vendsyssel, and it has a total population of about 67,000 people. ISM is used to create a central hub for all activities in the municipality. The Spatial Data Warehouse integrates CAD/GIS and WEB GIS technologies together with streamlined applications.

Fredericia municipality is a municipality (Danish, kommune) on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in south-central Denmark. It belongs to Region Syddanmark, covers an area of 134.46 km², and has a total population of about 50,000 people. Fredericia is using ISM for all activities within the municipality.

Hebei completely surrounds Beijing and Tianjin municipalities. It borders Liaoning to the northeast, Inner Mongolia to the north, Shanxi to the west, Henan to the south, and Shandong to the southeast. Bohai Bay of the Yellow Sea is to the east. It has a population of about 68 million and several large cities.
